Therapy for working women
You are good at what you do. You show up, you deliver, you hold things together. But there is a version of you that is exhausted in a way that a weekend cannot fix. A version that overthinks every email, dreads feedback, can't stop performing even when there is no one watching, feels guilty for resting, anxious when things go quiet and unsure whether any of this is ever going to feel like enough.
What I've found in the women I work with is that this exhaustion rarely begins at the workplace. It begins much earlier. In homes where love felt conditional on achievement. In childhoods where being good, being useful, or being invisible was the safest way to be. These feelings didn't start at work. Work just brought them to the surface.
This is the work I am most passionate about. Understanding the roots, not just managing the symptoms. Together, we explore the deeper patterns behind your burnout, perfectionism, people-pleasing, impostor syndrome, and self-worth struggles and move towards a quieter, steadier relationship with yourself, one that doesn't depend on your productivity, your output, or anyone else's approval.
This is deep, unhurried work. I typically work with clients over six months, which allows us to move beyond the surface and create lasting change.
Individual Counselling for Adults
Open to all genders
Not everything that brings someone to therapy fits neatly into a category. Sometimes it is grief that has nowhere to go. Sometimes it is a low mood that has quietly become a way of life. Sometimes it is anxiety, procrastination, a relationship that has left you confused about yourself, or simply the feeling of being stuck without knowing why.
You do not need a diagnosis, a dramatic story, or a clear reason. You just need to feel that something is not right and want to understand it better.
I offer individual therapy rooted in a trauma-informed, person-centred approach. This means our work is shaped by you — your pace, your priorities, your life. I don't offer advice or quick fixes. I offer a consistent, thoughtful space where you can begin to make sense of what you're experiencing and find your way through it.
Ready to take the next step? I'd love to hear from you.
Therapy rooted in understanding and connection
Therapy, to me, is a safe space, a place where you can show up as yourself without judgment, where we can pause, reflect and find clarity together. I believe growth happens when we feel understood and accepted just as we are.
My work is grounded in a person-centered philosophy which means that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is never to fix or advise, but to understand alongside you. Every session is built on unconditional positive regard: a genuine belief that you are worthy of care and understanding exactly as you are, not as you think you should be.
At the same time, I bring structure and gentle accountability to the work. With my background in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, I don't just hold space, I also help you stay connected to what you're working towards, moving at a pace that feels safe rather than overwhelming.
I work with sensitivity to the ways early experiences shape who we become as adults. Many of the patterns that bring people to therapy — the perfectionism, the people-pleasing, the chronic self-doubt — are not character flaws, they are intelligent adaptations to earlier experiences. My work is not to judge these patterns, but to help you understand them, and to gently explore what becomes possible when they no longer need to run the show.
Above all, I want therapy with me to feel like a place you can return to, somewhere that holds you steady while you figure things out.
How I work
My approach works on two levels. At the conscious level, we work with your thoughts, beliefs, behaviours and patterns — exploring what drives them, gently challenging what no longer serves you, and building new ways of responding to yourself and the world. At a deeper level, we sometimes go beyond talking — using approaches like art therapy and hypnotherapy to access and shift patterns that the thinking mind alone cannot always reach.
Most sessions weave between both levels, following what you need in that moment. Some days the work will feel practical and grounding. Other days it will feel slower, more inward. Both are part of the same journey.
